Boston-based HYM Investment Group secured $80 million in acquisition financing for the company’s $155 million purchase of the 161.2-acre Suffolk Downs horse racetrack that closed early last month.

Located roughly four miles from downtown Boston between East Boston and Revere, the underutilized track has been earmarked to be converted into a transit-oriented, mixed-use development once the track officially closes next summer.
