Hartford, CT’s nickname of “Insurance Capital of the World” took something of a hit this week, as did the state’s business prestige, already suffering from General Electric Co.’s decision last year to move corporate operations to Boston. Aetna Inc., one of the nation’s largest health-care insurers, announced the company is in talks with several states to relocate its corporate headquarters out of Hartford, where its roots date to the early 1800s.
