A private buyer has acquired the historic six-story, 21,205-square-foot building at 10-11 Arlington St. in Boston’s Back Bay with plans to utilize the property as a family office.

Franklin College netted $22.5 million, or approximately $1,061 per square foot, in the sale of the property, which was originally constructed in 1861 as a private residence before being converted for commercial use by management consulting firm, Harbridge House.
